Broadband Changed My LifeTM CONTEST RULES
Introduction
The Broadband Changed My LifeTM Contest is part of a nationwide effort by the Alliance for Public Technology (APT) to demonstrate how high speed Internet access is transforming every aspect of our lives on a personal level. APT wants you to share your story. Tell us why broadband internet access makes a critical difference in your everyday world and why you can't imagine life without it.
Who Can Enter
To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be residents of the U.S. who are 18 years of age or older.
Entry Requirements
- Complete the entry form (link to form) at www.BroadbandChangedMyLife.org.
- Contestants must agree to APT's use of the entry in materials supporting this contest, including media releases and other public documents and events.
- Entries may be featured as a broadband success story on the Web site, www.BroadbandChangedMyLife.org.
- All entries become the property of APT.
Timing
The contest starts on Monday, August 13, 2007 and ends on Monday, October 1, 2007. Winners will be announced by October 20, 2007. APT is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected submissions or for printing errors.
Judging
A committee of the APT Board of Directors will select the top three (3) winners from among valid entries.
Prizes
Three (3) winners will be selected. The winner will receive prizes as follows:
- First place: $1,000
- Second place: $500
- Third place: $250
The winners will have thirty (30) days from notification to arrange payment. If a winner cannot be notified within 7 days, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.
General Conditions
This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that APT has the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
